i’m busy…..!

this ‘i’m very busy’ business is amusing………
we are really as busy as we choose to be.
often it seems people don’t want to be perceived as doing nothing…. well, ‘doing nothing’ is also doing something! and if you’re doing something then you are busy.
the way i see it maybe my perception of this ‘busy’ business. the bottom line is that we all have a choice in how busy we are. we actually do make time for the things and people who matter to us. it’s a question of priorities given a time frame. it’s also no point being busy if you feel like you’re neither satisfied nor are you fulfilling your real purpose. it’s best just to be in peace with whatever it is you’re doing or not doing in any given moment of time. it’s after all for some purpose and what you’re meant to be doing, or it wouldn’t be what you’re busy with. being busy or not is a blessing either way so roll with it and go with the flow. make space and give space to yourself and others.
bees remain busy, its what they do.
you and i are busy because that’s how we choose to be.

fulfilling our destiny

i’ve understood that fulfilling your destiny means livng a life full of meaning and purpose no matter where you are and whatever station of life. everyone has a future no matter however ‘good’ or ‘bad’ it may seem.  however, not all of us necessarily fulfill our destiny.  the meaning we give to our life  and the purpose we live with depends entirely upon our willingness to be open to the signs that come to us and the higher awareness we’re willing to tap into.
it often requires us to have the courage to tread on a less trodden path.

jaguar

“to the winds of the west
mother jaguar
protect our medicine space
teach us the way of peace, to live impeccably
show us the way beyond death”

– alberto villoldo, anthropologist
this is a part of an invocation prayer for creating one’s sacred space. i wrote about sacred spaces a few days ago…the jaguar represents the west and stands for transformation, renewal and the cycle of life and death.
invoking the symbolic energy of the jaguar leads to transformation of heavy energies to those of light – or more positive ones.
old patterns and habits that are destructive and redundant need to die to give life to new hope and restore balance.
when anyone needs spiritual or psychological balance connecting to the protecting energy of the jaguar is invoked.

judgements

seems at times that we are full of judgements and opinions about any and everything. we just can’t seem to let ourselves and others be. we have to make our judgements…..it feels crazy at times. if only we could stop for a moment, retreat, take one step back and see that it’s not really worth making any of these assumptions….that’s what they are. a story, with a perspective. you can look at the same thing from anothers shoes or another angle and everything changes. we have another new story. it’s all an ever changing story and it’s not true. what’s true is what is in the moment without judgements, opinions or any frills or trims.
you are and i am.
the rest is just a story.

sacred space

a sacred space is a place where we enter our quiet inner world where we feel safe, secure and allow healing to take place. it does not necessarily have to be found in temples, cathedrals or places of religious worship.  earth abounds with beautiful nature spots where we feel our oneness with everything around us and we sense the higher power and our sensitive vulnerability that is within each one of us.
you don’t have to go somewhere to find this sacred space. one prayer from the heart is enough to take us to this place of inner peace and harmony that connects us to all the four directions and also what is above and below.
native indigenous people, seers, seekers and shamans
have been able through the ages to invoke and open these sacred spaces through simple prayer.
much of our fear and pain comes from the feeling that the world is an unsafe place to be in and our perception of being threatened. this threat perception of living in a dangerous world rasies our defenses and our guard is up. our sacred space gives us a place where we can lower our defenses and be true to ourselves and our nature.

change your thoughts

what is the one most important thing that can change any situation for the better, can you tell me?
for me the answer is – how we look and think about anything. yes! it’s the simplest and fastest way to change any situation….change your thoughts and you change your life.
a change in perspective is all that’s required to set into a motion a different stream of circumstances. we are the co -creators of our life

blame game

we human beings find some comfort from the frustration we feel when things don’t go according to our expectation by pinning the blame on someone or something. the ongoing crisis over the oil spill in the gulf of mexico seems to me to be one such example. the fact of the matter is that we have a problem on our hands and once again - our common home - earth is giving us a reminder of another big lesson we need to learn from. however, at the moment we’re still too busy about who to peg the blame on and who will pay – as if that is any solution. precious time is being lost and the costs of damage done to our environment and much else are mounting with every passing moment. what seems obvious to me is that once again our greed got the better of us and now here is another opportunity for everyone to put their heads together to find a solution rather than focussing our energy and resources on who to blame. lessons abound in the ongoing situation, if only we’re willing to open our minds and heart to acknowledging and accepting them. earth is our common home and she’s givng us enough signs to treat ourselves and our home we  live on with love, co – operation, respect and harmony.  are we….?

jig saw puzzle

i have been travelling around and been away from my blog. these journeys i find give me a good opportunity to observe and reflect on where I am and how segments of my life seem to be like the pieces of a jig saw puzzle that fit exactly where they’re meant to. not only do the pieces fit according to the design that is interconnected with other pieces, but there are synchronistic markers that also appear to reconfirm the pattern of my life.  i feel gratitude for all that is in this moment.
