story of our life!

once upon a time….there lived a little girl near a mountain that was covered with snow……

i have my story, you have yours….
we are sharing stories.
life is a mystery story.
and I know one thing….that I know absolutely nothing!
what fun!
…..so what were you saying?

change your story

“we are disturbed not by what happens to us, but by our thoughts about what happens”
- epictetus, greek philosopher

reflecting on epictetus’ words brings me to the understanding that it is our thought patterns – beliefs – about events or situations that cause us pain, not the actual events.
as the toltecs would say, change your story and you change your life in that moment.
and so the story goes on…..

magic key

within each one of us there is a presence that knows, has the wisdom of the ages and is connected to the source of all that is. this is our soul or spirit. when we are in spirit we have access to this ‘magic key’ that allows us to be in tune and harmony with the flow of life and gives us our GPS map to the direction we want to take with what truly nourishes our mind, body and soul. Before doing anything turn your magic key and ask if whatever you’re doing is what will nourish you and the answer will come to you from within, with an answering thought, image or sign.

drink water!

i’m reminding myself that water is the real elixir of remaining healthy. we are not just what we eat or think but also what we drink! most of us don’t reach out for a glass of water till we are actually thirsty…that means dehydrated! so the idea is to keep drinking water throughout the day.                                                                                                                          coffee and tea do not constitute real water intake.
so  hydrate!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   drink plenty of water and remain healthy.
